Michael Strange, St. Edward's University Professional Education Center senior account manager, was elected to serve a three-year term with the Texas Association of State Systems for Computing and Communications (TASSCC) Vendor Advisory Group. The VAG consists of leading technology companies that provide advice and support to TASSCC and its board.
The TASSCC is an association for all State of Texas Chief Information Officers and Information Technology managers with a mission to advance education and networking among Texas public sector IT professionals.
The VAG consists of 13 elected representatives from the associate membership and Strange is serving alongside representatives from Dell, Northrop Grumman, Sun Microsystems, Xerox and Deloitte.
"We don't just sell training at St. Edward's University," says Michael Strange. "We learn what impact our customer expects from their IT investments and design project-specific skill-training programs. This allows them to maximize their investments in both employee productivity and IT infrastructure."
The St. Edward's University P.E.C. provides statewide continuing education programs in the IT sector:

- Project management certification and training
- Management development and sales training
- Educational consulting services
St. Edward's University is the only private university that is an associate member of TASSCC and the only training organization that has served on the VAG.
As a member of the VAG, Strange will support the TASSCC by serving on the committee that plans three annual conferences, reinforces continuing IT education and bridges the partnership between the public and private sector.
