CompTIA A+ Certification

CompTia's A+ Certification is an industry recognized entry-level credential for IT Technicians. The A+ training course covers troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, basic networking, installation as well as communication skills, and professionalism. The target student is anyone with basic computer user skills who is interested in obtaining a job as an IT professional or PC technician.

Continuing Education Requirements:

All CompTIA A+, Network+, and Security+ certifications obtained after January 1, 2011 will be valid for three years. Certifications can be renewed by passing the current CompTIA exam or by participating in the Continuing Education (CE) Program. CE credits can be earn for participating in qualified activities including attending relevant training, earning other industry certification, writing articles, white papers, and blogs on industry topics.

Note:

Department of Defense (DoD) Directive 8570.1 will only recognize CompTIA certifications with CE designations to meet the DoD Information Assurance certification requirements. Certifications earned prior to 2011 may update by enrolling in the CE program.
